Love is in the air in room 04! Today we were all about Froggy and Frogilina... We began by taking a picture walk through the book Froggy's First Kiss and making predictions about what we thought would happen. We then read the book and talked about what really happened and what we predicted. Next, students worked in their reading journals to sequence the events from the story. Students had to recall the order of the goodies that Frogilina gave Froggy at lunch each day. The KISS Froggy got sure did get lots of giggles from my firsties! ;) Next, we got busy making some super cutie patootie Froggy and Frogilinas and then we colored some color me heart cut-outs from Creative Teaching Press! My firsties love to color so those hearts were a big hit!

I have planned to read Froggy's First Kiss tomorrow. I love this book.
I am planning on reading this tomorrow. Froggy's is always such a hit in our classroom.
I love seeing all the pink and red in the middle of the dreary winter days. I just got a copy of this book, so if I am one of your lucky commenters, I'd be all set for Friday!
