Worksheet Free Ideas {Oriental Trading}

Hi blog friends! I'm popping in today to share some worksheet free ideas with you. Recently, I got the opportunity to try out some amazing products from one of my favorite companies Oriental Trading! To say I was excited was an understatement. There are SOOO many great options for your classroom on their new education site!! I wracked my brain trying to think of what I wanted to pick out the *most* and I decided to snatch up some things to help me use less worksheets in my first grade classroom in the upcoming new school year.

I can't wait to show you what my sweet friends at Oriental Trading sent me that I picked out!!! Read on to check it all out. :)

The first thing I want to show you is this Story Elements Magnetic Set. These work perfectly for a magnetic chart stand. It comes with magnetic pieces for character and setting, problem and solution, cause and effect, compare/contrast, sequence events, and much more!

The next thing I picked out are these Large Dry Erase Tabletop Stickers. These come 15 to a pack and are semi circles that line up with a straight edge. Since I was using them at my U table, I decided to put two semi circles together to make full size circles. These will be great when I am working with small groups or my guided reading groups for spelling, writing sentences, working out math problems, etc.

The next thing I want to show you are these Dry Erase Paddles. I use Brainpop, Jr. all the time in my class and my students love the quizzes at the end of the videos. These would be perfect for the multiple choice questions on the quizzes.... students could simply write the letter A, B, C or D on the paddle and hold up for me to quickly check for understanding. The paddles would also be great for spelling and working out math problems.

I'm also loving these Dry Erase Number Line Sheets. I aways get desk plates with number lines and the kids quickly wear out the number lines by marking on them and then trying to erase. These will be perfect, because they can now mark on their number line and actually erase it with ease and not messing up their nameplates like in the past. These come in 4 different colors and will tie in perfectly with my group colors. Each group will have their own set to store in their group shelf to use whenever they need.

And last but not least are these Dry Erase Sentence Strips. These will be perfect for daily fix-its and sentence writing practice. Simply write a sentence on the board with mistakes and have your students re-write the sentence correctly. Then have them swap with a shoulder partner and have their shoulder partner double check it to make sure they found all of the mistakes.

Wipes clean with a tissue! :)

Well friends I hope you got some ideas from this post to help make your classroom more worksheet free. Head over to Oriental Trading to shop these products along with tons and tons of other amazing resources for your classroom! :)

**Disclaimer: These products were sent to me by Oriental Trading at no cost for me to try out and use in my 1st grade classroom.
