Pets, Johnny Appleseed, & a Freebie!

Last week read the story Sam, Come Back from our reading series and we spent a lot of time discussing pets and their needs as well as the responsibilities of a pet owner. Here is a little chart {inspired by Leslie Ann} that we made one day during the discussion of the following question: what responsibilities does a pet owner have? They had some great ideas and by the end of the week they definitely understood what the amazing word "responsibility" meant! :)

Another one of our amazing words last week was "needs." So to help us better understand the meaning of needs we completed a little can/need/are chart for pets.  We are about to start learning all about apples and Johnny Appleseed! This is one of my favorite themes! There is so many fun things to learn about and do with apples. I can't wait to get started! We started our apple fun with making this cute Johnny Appleseed craft from my Bushels of Fun with Apples pack.
