Dr. Seuss Fun... a week later

Hey sweet blog friends! Do you ever have all this stuff planned and then things don't go as planned?? Well,  I had a very long list of things I wanted to do with my kiddos for Dr. Seuss' birthday week.. and after early dismissal one day for bad weather and closing a few days for sickness (oh so very thankful for those days though and I'm not gonna complain!!!!)  I found that my long list just didn't get completed. If I hadn't of planned anything we would have been in school! That's how it goes! ha  But sometimes you just have to go with the flow and get what you can done. We did manage to get a few things done before and after the craziness. But no where near what I planned... Anyhow, here is a little peek at some of the things we did...

A sweet mom volunteered to come in and read Green Eggs and Ham to the class and then make them a treat.. they had green eggs, ham, and green Hawaiian Punch!

We made a graph and took a class vote asking the question "Do you like green eggs and ham?"

We made Cara's Seuss Juice and a Cat in the Hat inspired snack. The kids loved the Seuss Juice! Thanks for sharing Cara!!

We read The Foot Book and discussed antonyms. We made these.. Another Cara inspired project.

We read Yertle the Turtle, discussed being greedy, and then made Yertle the Turtles.

The sweet 2nd grade team at my school made my Thing 1 and Thing 2's from my Cat with a Hat unit. I thought they turned out darling, so I wanted to share one of  the bulletin boards. :)

This was all I managed to snap pics of. I would love to share the Wacky Wednesday pictures of my kiddos. Unfortantely, in our district we are not allowed to show pictures of students. But.. I will tell you one of my little cuties came in with his undies over his pants. PRECIOUS!!!! :)

Well, there are my Seuss things.. a week later... better late than never, right? :)
